Take a look at Threadless ’ Open Call to Pattern Loving Artists!
New frontier-themed Threadless design challenge will land one artist $3,000.
Threadless, the global design community, has announced their newest pattern-themed design challenge, in which winning designs will appear in the Threadless Select Spring/Summer ’15 collection, a premium line of clothing made in the USA. The challenge calls on artists from around the world to design patterns with the theme of frontier landscapes and culture. Desert landscapes, tribal prints, and cactus plants are just some of the imagery that artists can draw inspiration from.
Artists can already begin submitting their designs to the challenge, which will be voted on by the Threadless community. Submissions to the challenge will be accepted until December 16, 2013, with an additional week of scoring ending on December 23. One grand prize winner will receive $3,000 and a $500 Threadless gift code for their design, and all other designs selected for the Threadless Select ‘15 collection will receive a 10% royalty based on the wholesale buy and/or sales revenue from Threadless.com.
